This survival-based thriller, set in the Arctic, unfolds when a meteorological survey team flying in a Dakota, see the wreckage of a downed aircraft near which is a moving human. Rupert Royce, the meteorologist aboard, parachutes down to assist while the plane flies on to get help. Unknown to him, the Dakota crashes with total loss of life before they can organise a rescue crew. So begins the battle to survive for an American and an injured Russian.
